What should I do if I have a maintenance emergency?
For urgent maintenance issues that require immediate attention, call our office and follow the prompts to leave a message on our 24/7 answering service. For non-emergency requests, submit a maintenance request through the Residents section of the website or contact the leasing office during regular business hours.
How do I report a maintenance request?
You can submit a maintenance request through the Residents section of The Penwell website or by contacting the leasing office. For emergency maintenance requests outside of regular office hours, our answering service is available 24/7 to assist residents.
When is my rent payment due?
Rent is due on the first day of every month. Rent is considered late beginning on the second day of the month. Late fees are assessed at the start of business on the fourth day of the month.
Can I pay my rent after hours?
Yes! You can make a rent payment online through The Penwell's Resident Portal at any time. Residents can conveniently make payments through the online payment system, including after regular office hours.
What methods can I use to pay my rent?
Residents can pay rent by check, certified funds, money order, or through the online rent payment system available through The Penwell's website. Residents who enroll in automatic ACH payments from a checking account can make payments online without a payment fee.
Can I set up automatic rent payments?
Yes. The Penwell offers automatic ACH payments from a checking account through the online rent payment system. Once enrolled, automatic ACH payments can be made without a payment fee.
Do I need renters insurance at The Penwell?
Yes. Residents are required to maintain renters insurance during their residency. You may choose your preferred renters insurance provider, but your policy must list The Penwell as an interested party and provide at least $100,000 in liability coverage.
Does my lease cover my personal belongings?
Residents are responsible for maintaining renters insurance to help protect their personal belongings. Renters insurance can provide coverage for eligible losses resulting from events such as fire, theft, or certain natural causes. Review your individual policy for specific coverage and exclusions.
What kind of resident events does The Penwell host?
The Penwell takes pride in offering fun and engaging events and activities for residents throughout the year. Events may include opportunities to socialize with neighbors, enjoy the community's amenities, and connect with the local Odessa community.
How can I find out about upcoming resident events?
Resident events and activities are frequently shared through community communications and social media. Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram so you don't miss upcoming activities and events.
If I get a job transfer, will I be allowed tobreak my lease?
Contact the Property Manager for specific details on your situation. However, we utilize the Texas Apartment Association Lease Contract which does not provide a provision for a job transfer. The only exception is for military service.
Is my security deposit 100% refundable?
Security deposits are refundable upon the completion of your lease, move out and an inspection of your apartment.
Will you accept package deliveries for me?
We have an amazon hub locker that all of your packages will be delivered to you. You have access to the hub 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
